If you own a similar camera and it goes dark for whatever reason, it will only take pictures of a big black blob and there is nothing but blackness on the screen, do not take it for repair! Or throw it for that matter. Simply hold down the shutter until the screen flashes white. You will notice that the camera will revive itself! Nice! You are ready to take more pictures.

As for the Easter Egg, I found this out but accident. While holding down the “FUNC SET” button, you will notice that you get the time. It is displayed in an animation where the seconds are flipping blocks that appear on the screen.
