About

Paul Powered began as a site to display my online portfolio while I was making websites for my family and friends. Now it is a home for my running adventures.

I spend a fair amount of time training for the next run, on the road and at the gym and enjoy sharing the experiences that I have had throughout my journey of staying active.

My first taste of running was in high school while running the cross country course for basketball. I did not run again until I served in the military years later. Upon leaving the United States Marines, I continued running to pass time.

In 2009 I began running more seriously and completed my first half-marathon in Scottsdale, AZ in December of 2009. After 7 back-to-back half-marathon improvement times, I had been able to successfully shave 30 minutes off of my second half-marathon time by sharing knowledge and being more involved with the local running community.

In 2011, I completed my first full marathon in Los Angeles, CA and continue to train for more events. You can find me running the streets of North Scottsdale, the Airpark or on the Arizona Canal when I am not at the office or in the gym. I am also an active member of the Arizona Road Racers and U.S. Track and Field.
