About

Paul Powered began as a site to display my online portfolio while I was making websites for my family and friends. Now it is a bit of a collection of where I have been and where I am going with some of my projects online. It is also a place where I share some interesting online, TV and print media in addition to some new online tools that I have discovered.

I began my career in the United States Marine Corps as a Financial Analyst for an artillery unit in Southern California. I served four years in the Marines, with my final-year tour in Japan. I received numerous awards including a meritorious promotion and was awarded orders to Embassy Duty training in Quantico, Virginia. Deciding that my skills were more marketable in the “civilian” world, I decided to work full time in the accounting field while earning my degree in accounting.

I have always had an affinity towards technology but, was not sure if finance and accounting was the place for me. When I attended a college course called “Communicating in the Virtual Workplace”. It was then that I was able to discover my gifts by redesigning a website for a local Scottsdale company for our final project. I began making websites for friends and family before creating Creative Ops, an entity to do my design and development under.

With several years of design and development under my belt, I was afforded the opportunity to be the Associate Account Services Director at Fuse Interactive in Laguna Beach, California. It was there that I was able to validate my business model for Creative Ops and immerse myself in interactive marketing. I served clients such as the Laguna Beach Center for Art and Design, Kawasaki, Verizon Wireless, Disney and others.

I have since returned to Phoenix, Arizona, where I call home, and have met some extremely talented people. I am excited for the creative and interactive spaces in the Phoenix Metropolitan area and am proud to be able to contribute.

Thank you for visiting and I hope that you find the information here useful and entertaining. I hope that you enjoy your stay.
